The girth gear is one of the most critical components in the drive device of the rotary kiln equipment, and its installation accuracy directly affects the stability of the transmission system, the stability of the operation of the rotary kiln equipment, and the operating rate of the rotary kiln equipment.
The centerline of the girth gear must be overlapped with the centerline of the kiln shell. Due to its large size, girth gears are usually made into two or several pieces and connected together with bolts. The girth gear is generally installed near the middle of the kiln shell, which ensures uniform stress on the shell during operation, away from the hot end, and less dust.
